Description

The US Army R D E C O M Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with B.A. Tech, U. S. Ltd., of Fall River, MA, under the authority of 15 USC 657f , FAR 19.1406(a) Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Sma ll Business Sole Source Award, and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), Follow-on contract for the continued development or production, a quantity of 24 each, Low Velocity (LV) Cargo Parachute. Product Manager-Force Sustainment Systems (PM-FSS) will manage this effort as part of the Low Cost Aerial Delivery System (LCADS) program. The parachute will meet the same performance parameters as the existing Low Velocity G-12 parachute while reducing cost by 55-80%. They are made of woven polypropylene sewn in a cross-hatch design with the parachute legs knotted directly to nylon suspension lines, and are designed for one-time use applications. The manufacturer will be responsible for obtaining all required material (fabric, thread, etc) and for complete fabrication of the chute, including packing. No Solicitation Document Exists.
