Description

Item: NSN 2840-01-215-3554OK, P/N: 6009T73G04, Case, Turbine, Aircraft, Delivery: 9 ea 31 Mar 2008. Purchase Request: FD2030-06-70190; The solicitation number is FA8104-06-R-0328. The solicitation is a request for proposal (RFP). Closing date for proposals will be received at the issuing office until 4:00 PM on 14 April 2006. Qty Range: Min 5 each & Max 13each, revalidation required. Application: J85-21 Series Engine. Destination: Tinker AFB, OK 73145-3032, Turbine Case: Height 5.415? x width 17.510? x length 20.248?. The turbine case provides containment for the turbine rotor assembly and turbine stator assembly and functions as a convergent/divergent pathway for combustor gases to be directed in an efficient manner onto the turbine blades. Packaging Requirement: MIL-STD-2073-1, Standard Practice Military Packaging. Shipping and storage markings shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129 P as follows IAW AFMC Form 158. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on the requirement. Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Qualified source(s) are; (Cage) 99207 General Electric, 1000 Western Ave., Lynn, MA 01905-2655 (Cage) 35013 Orenda Aerospace Corp., 3160 Derry Road East, Mississauga, On. L4T1A9. This solicitation document, incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20 (FAC). The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 336412. The qualifications requirements for these items were established prior to 10 OCT 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. The qualification requirements apply to all line items. The approximate issue date of RFQ will be 24 Mar 2006. Government Tested First Article will be required. New/Unused Government and Commercial surplus may be acceptable. P/N and MFG verification, prior government ownership, 100% end item inspected. Remarks: Parts that are New/unused, government/Commercial showing no sign of rust, corrosion, or evidence of disassemble or reassemble or reconditioned or improper packaging in any manner are acceptable. Justification for unacceptable surplus materiel: Failure of this item can cause unsafe and unreliable operation. Reconditioned, modified, and previous wear on these parts can not be adequately determined. Therefore only new/unused, government, commercial surplus is acceptable from Air Force sources. Only written or faxed request s received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Authority: 10 USC 2304(C)(1). Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number source under the authority of the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all FAR 6.302. All proposals received thirty days (30) days after date of solicitation will be considered by the government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacture meets qualification requirements at the time of the award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as sited in each individual solicitation. It is that small business firms or other interested in subcontracting opportunities in conjunction with the prescribed procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed.
