- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate and award a sole source award to Syserco, Inc., 44244 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, for the continued maintenance and support of the Alerton IBEX for Windows Energy Management Control System (EMCS) equipment and its associated hardware and components. The Contractor shall provide onsite support one day or eight (8 hours) per week for 50 weeks during a twelve (12) month period for SSA in Richmond, CA. The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, material, and support to monitor, perform preventive maintenance, and update software for the Alerton IBEX for Windows EMCS equipment and its associated hardware and components. Alerton Technologies is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). Syserco Inc. is the only authorized and licensed distributor and service company for Alerton Technologies in the San Francisco Metropolitan Bay Area. Programming language used by the IBEX Alerton System is proprietary to Alerton and its franchised distribution and service network. This is not a request for quote; quotes submitted in response to this notice will not be considered. Interested parties that believe they can provide the required service must respond to this notice no later than 3:00 p.m. PST March 30, 2006. All potential contractors will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance on an award. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a contract. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to SSA-RFQ-09-06-52006. Responses must be in writing and should be submitted to the address cited at the beginning of this notice or by email to karen.l.giles@ssa.gov. FAXED RESPONSES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for ay information received. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged.
