- Description
- The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to enter into a sole source contract with Pennsylvania State University (PSU) to conduct a series of tests on spacer grid thermal hydraulics to provide data for the improvement of spacer grid models in the NRC?s consolidated thermal hydraulic computer code TRACE. The period of performance will be one year with two (2) one-year option periods. PSU is the only known qualified source possessing the knowledge and expertise in the reflood process, and has the necessary rod bundle test facility to perform the work. This is not a request for competitive proposals. Requests for copies of this solicitation will not be honored unless the respondent provides evidence showing their capability to perform the required services.
