Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City (NSWC PC) has a requirement for the design, development, fabrication, and testing of the Surface Mine Countermeasure Unmanned Undersea Vehicle Increment 2 (SMCM/UUV-2). The SMCM/UUV-2 System will be a mine countermeasures (MCM) asset to be used as a User Operational Evaluation System (UOES) that will support the Mine Warfare Commander in the execution of mine-hunting reconnaissance operations aboard MCM-1 class ships and other crafts of opportunity. Each SMCM/UUV-2 will be a self-propelled, un-tethered, autonomous underwater vehicle capable of conducting independent mine survey operations in shallow water regions of the ocean. One (1) SMCM/UUV-2 System will be comprised of two SMCM/UUV-2 vehicles plus support equipment to plan and execute mission sorties, conduct post-mission analysis of the collected data, and perform routine maintenance. This requirement is for two (2) SMCM/UUV-2 systems (4 vehicles total). This effort also encompasses all analysis, system engineering and design, development, fabrication, assembly, testing, qualification, operator and maintenance training, documentation, planning, and management required to support this effort, as well as all materials, software, and services necessary to ensure the successful demonstration of the program. In addition, the Contractor shall support the integration of SMCM/UUV-2 with the MCM-1 class ships. This procurement includes an option for three (3) additional SMCM/UUV-2 Systems (6 vehicles total). The successful offeror will require a Secret Facility Clearance. A technical proposal is required. Requests for the solicitation shall be referred to mark.p.ross@navy.mil. Upon release, the Solicitation and any Amendments may be downloaded from the NSWC PC Internet at http://www.ncsc.navy.mil/Contracts/ZTables/soltab.htm . No Solicitations or Amendments will be mailed to offerors. Therefore, it's incumbent upon the potential offeror to be cognitive of the NSWC PC Internet for all releases.
