- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with AAI Corporation, Hunt Valley, MD for the acquisition of spare parts for the Advanced Bore-site Equipment (ABE) and the AH-1W ABE Adapters Set, P/N 38413-40000-10 in support of the AH-1W aircraft. The proposed acquisition is Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings. AAI Corporation holds all technical data rights to the PSE and associated spares. The Navy does not posses a technical data package to permit the development of the required supplies/services by any other sources than the original designer. NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
