- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to procure Portable Air Compressors (PAC). It is anticipated that the contract will be a multi-year IDIQ contract where during the first year, the contractor shall be required to provide up to 5 pilot-production units for both contractor and government testing, as well as the technical and logistics data. After successful completion of the pilot-production testing during the first program year, the government plans to issue delivery orders for the production units over the following 2 program years. The maximum anticipated amount over the production years is for up to 400 units. The objective is to procure NDI/commercial or modified commercial items to replace the existing units currently in use. The PAC shall be capable of performing support in the field for various Navy and Marine Corp ?O? level maintenance procedures, including ramp systems (ordnance), mobile facilities (air tools, etc.), and squadron assists for air tools, servicing and maintenance applications such as for shop air supply, airframe skin fixes, OBOGS testing, as a source of supply air for inflating GSE tires, and for pneumatic tools (during deployment in remote areas with no air supply capability).
