- The U.S. Geological Survey in Sacramento, CA, intends to award a purchase order on a non-competitive single source basis in accordance with SUBPART 6.302-1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations to Skycasters of Akron, OH. The sole source purchase order is for broadband satellite service for transferring collected field data from remote locations to the Columbia River Research Laboratory for real-time processing. The service must support the following network configurations: Network Topology - Star; Multiple Access - TDM (Downstream), D-TDMA (Deterministic TDMA) Upstream; IP Data Rates - Downstream: 128 kbps-18Mbps, Upstream: 64kbps-4.2Mbps; Modulation - QPSK. Interfaces: SatCom Interfaces: TxIF:Type-F,950-1700 MHz, Composite Power+7dBm/-35dBm, RxIF: Type-F,950-1700 MHz, Composite Power+5dBm/-65dBm, TVRO:Type-F,950-1700 MHz. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. No formal RFQ will be available. This award will be made under the simplified acquisition threshold of $100,000.00. The NAIC code is 51334. A determination not to continue with this acquisition based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
