Description
Scope of Requirement: The Minerals Management Service (MMS) requires guest rooms, meeting rooms, food and beverage, audio/visual equipment and related services of a qualified hotel in Miami, FL for a one week conference "International Regulators Forum". The conference will be held for one week, December 3 through December 7, 2007. The estimated maximum number of guest rooms for is 300. Number of attendees of the conference is estimated between 200 and 400, including meeting space space for 400 attendees. Mandatory requirements: The hotel must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq., (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); and 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner. THIRD PARTIES ? Please read carefully. If you submit a quote on behalf of a hotel, the following documentation must be submitted with the quote: (1) Signed agreement between you and the director of sales or sales manager of the hotel that states that you, the third party, are authorized to submit a quote on behalf of the hotel. It must state that you, the third party, are not an agent of the Minerals Management Service. (2) The following statement signed by the director of sales or sales manager of the hotel - "I, (name)_____________, the (title) ____________ of (hotel) ________________ have read this entire RFQ #1435-01-06-RQ-39683 and agree to the terms and conditions of this RFQ." (3) The rest of the documents submitted as part of the quote pertain to the hotel, NOT to the third party. The SF 1449 is to be signed by the hotel, NOT the third party, etc How to acquire a copy of the solicitation: Please contact the Contracting Officer, Kimberly Luke via email Kimberly.Luke@mms.gov. The RFQ will be issued on April 5, 2006. This is NOT a small business set-aside. It is a full and open competition using simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible hotels may submit a quote that will be considered by the MMS. MMS anticipates awarding the contract in May of 2006.
