- The United States Army Communications-Electronic Life Cycle Management Command (C-E LCMC) intends to award a new work modification to contract DAAB07-01-D-B452 on a non-competitive basis in support of the AM-7189A/ARC Improved Frequency Modulator (IF M) Amplifier, NSN number 5996-01-188-3332. The anticipated award will be made under the Authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source, to Rockwell Collins, Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The technical data necessary to manufactu re this amplifier is proprietary to Rockwell and the Government does not possess a Technical Data Package for this item. The AM-7189A/ARC IFM Amplifier is a Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Very High Frequency-Frequency Modulation power amplifier accessory that is used with the AN/ARC-201 Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System to provide Nap-of-the-Earth (NOE) improved communications capability to helicopter pilots and is used in all front-line Army aircraft platforms, including the AH-64 Apache, CH -47 Chinook, and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters. This new work modification will increase the ceiling of the contract by $11,236,755. The ordering period of this contract continues through 31 DEC 2010. Solicitation Number W15P7T-06-R-A020 has been assigned t o this effort for identification purposes and should be referenced along with the contract number of DAAB07-01-D-B452. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation for this action will be a letter Request for Proposal in compliance with the terms and conditions of the existing contract. No formal solicitation will be issued.
