- Description
- The Army is exploring alternative acquisition strategies for future procurements of selected items of construction equipment. Lease contracts are being considered for Loaders (5.0 Cu Yd and Back Hoe), Graders (130-G), Scrapers (621B), Dozers (D-7), and Excavators (HYEX-I, BHL) for each horizontal construction company listed in the attached market survey. The market survey was developed to assist in determining if there would be interest from industry regarding fleet leasing. An example notional leas e is also provided as a clarifying example. The results of this survey will provide input to the Engineer Acquisition Strategy Business Case Analysis to determine the cost vs. benefits and risks associated with leasing Army Construction equipment compared to outright procurement. Request your comments/answers to the survey questions and any other information you can provide on leasing alternatives. We also welcome any additional questions or comments that you may have regarding the Engineer Acquisition S trategy Business Case Analysis. It is requested that responses be provided NLT 30 March 2006.
