Description

The Directorate of Contracting at Fort Bragg, North Carolina anticipates issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Packing, Crating and Containerization of Household goods for Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina on or about 20 April 20 06. To provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials for the preparation of personal property of military members and civilian employees for movement of drayage and related services for Fort Bragg and Pope Air Force Base, NC during the base period 1 July 2006 through 30 September 2006 and one (1) one-year option period. Services include, but are not limited to: pre- move surveys, servicing of appliances, disassembly of furniture, packaging, inventorying, tagging, wrapping , padding, packing and bracing of household goods in Government owned and furnished shipping containerization at the owner's residences or at Contractor's facility when ordered by the contracting officer. Services also require properly securing and sealin g for shipment, weighing, obliterating old markings, stenciling new markings, strapping, and drayage of containers, and loading of shipments. This requirement will be set-aside 100% for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 488991, threshold of $21.5 million. The Federal Supply Class/Service code is V003. Upon release to the public, the solicitation as well as amendments will only be available via the Internet as website: http://www.bragg.army.mil/www-do c/Contractors/SOLICIT.HTM Contractors will not be directly notified of solicitation amendments. Offers due date and time will be included in the solicitation.
