Description
Amendment to post question and answers. No other changes are made to the solicitation. 1. Is the Generator to be rated at 75KW Prime or Standby ? Standby. 2. Is the Generator to be installed inside the shelter or located outside the shelter? The Solicitation led us to believe that the Generator is to be located outside the shelter. Located on the outside of the shelter in its own enclosure. 3. If the Generator is to be located outside the shelter, does the Gen erator need to be placed in a bullet proof enclosure in addition to a weatherproof enclosure? Does not have to be a bullet proof enclosure. 4. If the Generator is to be located outside of the shelter, what UL Standard should be used for the Fuel Tank ? Example: UL 142 (Standard for Fire Resistant Tanks for Flammable and Combustible Liquids) The tank should be located under the generator. UL 142 5. Are there any requirements for sound attenuation on the Generator enclosure? NO. 6. Wha t level of noise abatement (exhaust silencer) is required (Standard, Residential or Hospital)? Standard 7. What are the ambient high and low temperatures in which the Generator must operate? 105f degrees to 0F degrees. 8. At what altitude will the Generator be installed 1300 9. Will there be an existing concrete pad to set the Enclosure and the Generator on? (If the Generator is located outside the shelter) Yes 10. Where will utility power for the shelter o riginate? At the generator transfer switch. 11. Does the Government want EMT or Rigid Conduit to be supplied? Rigid 12. Does the layout of the components of the shelter have any impact on the orientation of the shelter once it is set in place? Yes 13. Does it matter which wall the door is installed in? No. Is the door threshold to be flush with the floor or elevated Elevated. 14. It is stated that the Exterior ground halo. Perimeter loop with copper cable connected to copper plates due to rock approximately 3 deep around existing foundation. Is the existing concrete foundation certified to support the enclosure specifications and if necessary, an external generator and fuel tank What are the dimensions of this foundation and what is its loading capacity? The existing concrete foundation is certified to support the enclosure and the generator. The enclosure pad is 24' x 24' x 4' The generator pad is 9' x 9' 12 . There is no fo undation pad for an external fuel tank. The generator pad had a 75KW generator setting on for approx 3 years. 15. Is there adequate site drainage and are there requirements for excavation? Adequate drainage. No excavation required. 16. There are no specifications for power penetrations through the enclosure. Is there a requirement for this Yes. The power will penetrate the side of the generator. 17. Are we responsible for off loading? Yes 18. Is there overhead clearance for off loading the enclosure and associated equipment Yes. 19. What OSHA Standard is required for Roof and Ladder/Fall protection regarding roof access? NA 20. If an UPS is needed i t would be beneficial to integrate it in at this time or depending on the size of the UPS at least insure that the proper structural precautions be taken to support the additional floor loading in case it exceeds 250PSF ? No UPS. 21. Sinc e there is not an actual Ship To location, is the stated Place of Performance where the unit will be installed? Yes, the place of performance is Grant Ridge, Ft. Riley 22. Is delivery FOB Destination or FOB Origin? FOB Destinati on 23. Is 45,000 pounds inclusive or exclusive of all equipment, generator and generator fuel tank? The approximate weight of the shelter. 24. Is there any pitch requirement for the roof or is it flat as inferred? Flat 25. What are the tolerances (if any) regarding all listed dimensions? 12 x 15 Foot nominal sized outside dimension needs to be clarif ied and re-verified against the provided Outside Dimension of 15-0 long x 11-6 Wide x 10-1 High. + 10% 26. What is the specification for floor leveling? Level floor 27. Is there a requirement for the flooring to be anti- static ? No 28. Is there any requirement to keep the HVAC units inside the shelter versus installation on an exterior wall? Yes keep on the inside. 29. Is the HVAC System a common or an individual alarm point? Common. 30. Does the HVAC System alarm consist of lighting or audible alarm? Or both lighting and audible alarm? Both 31. Are the fluorescent fixtures required to be single bulb or dual bulb? Dual bulb. 32. Are the fluorescent fixtures required to be Explosion Proof or are individual bulb covers acceptable? Not explosion proof. 33. Is there a specification for what FRP is to be used on the interior or is it up to us as the manufacturer to determine what product would best suffice? Manufacturer to determine what product would be best. 34. Please specify the size and spacing/inside or outside diameter for the PVC Conduits. Do not understand the question. If for power sized for the 200a service. 35. Where does the handrail get installed and how do you want it attached? What load does it need to bear? What size swing gate? Installed on the roof of the shelter. Manufacturer to determ ine attachment. Swing gate 3 36. Is CAD welding required for the Exterior Ground Halo ? Yes 37. Fire Protection System: Do you require 4 detectors for cross zoning and redundancy? Per NFPA protocol only one is required, but this does not provide redundancy. Is a connected or not connected reserve required? Is performance testing required and to what specifications? No. NFPA 72. 38. What internal arrangement is needed for t he cable racking and waveguides? Also, knowledge of intended use is necessary to properly layout the interior. Standard 39.
