- Vandenberg AFB, California intends to issue a solicitation for Medical Coder/Auditor Services. The contractor shall perform precise medical coding on a timely bases to provide a current and accurate representation of healthcare delivery, and educate and train the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) professional staff on appropriate documentation requirements for accurate and optimal diagnosis (ICD-9-CM), evaluation and management (E&M), and procedural (CPT) coding. The contractor shall provide one full time equivalent American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or American Academy of Professional coders (AAPC) certified medical records coder certificate with their quotes. The period of performance will be 1 base year and four 1-year options from 10 Apr 06 through 9 Apr 2011. This requirement is for unrestricted competition. The NAICS code for this project is 561110. Prospective contractors must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration Database at www.ccr.gov prior to award.
