Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs has a requirement for Hotel Accommodations, Conference Space Rental and Hotel Services located in the geographic area of Buckhead-Atlanta, GA. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Human Resources is sponsoring a training conference on the topic of ?Human Resources, Achieving New Heights.? The hotel must accommodate 80 sleeping rooms (based on timeframe), must provide all requirements specified for conference needs below, and must provide lodging rates within the stated Government Per Diem. Hotel Lodging ? 70 sleeping rooms from July 30, 2006 ? August 4, 2006; with 10 additional sleeping rooms available through out the week with various check in/out dates; group will check out on August 4, 2006, however have government rate available for those attendees staying through August 8, 2006. Rooms must be individual/private-sleeping rooms with toilet facilities at government per diem for Buckhead, GA. Payments for rooms shall be the sole responsibility of each participant, to include no-show fees. Meeting space for General Session to be held on a 24 hours basis starting with setup for room and AV equipment on Sunday July 30, 2006 beginning 7:30 am through Friday August 4, 2006 ending at 7:00 pm. Set for 80 in round table seating for 8-12 with podium. Ice water and glasses provided on each table with writing pads and pens. General Session room must be without pillars/post to obstruct view. Four breakout rooms are needed. These rooms are in addition to the General Session meeting room (total of 5 meeting rooms Monday, July 31, 2006 until 5:00 pm on Thursday, August 3, 2006. Each room must accommodate no less than 20-25 people, set in round table seating for 8-12 people per table. Rooms must include a podium and additional space for audio/visual front screen projection for each breakout room (additional A/V equipment will be needed, to include, microphones, screens, laptops and multi-media projectors). Each of these breakout rooms must be without pillars/post to obstruct the view. Hospitality/Registration Area: starting on Sunday, July 30, 2006 at 12:00 pm (setup) through Thursday, August 3, 2006. Preference for hospitality/registration area is in close proximity to the General Session room. There should be five six ft tables with skirting available and 12 four to six chairs will be needed in this area, plus an in-house only desk phone and a large trash can. However, if there is an available registration desk near the general session room, this room will need to be re-keyed to allow access by designated meeting staff only. Hotel Specifications: hotel must have the following amenities: 1. Continental breakfast and light refreshments for afternoon breaks for 80 attendees from July 31 ? August 4, 2006. 2. 24 Hour Fitness Center 3. Onsite Gift Shop 4. In room internet access 5. Onsite swimming pool 6. Free onsite parking or minimal charge 7. Onsite 24 hour security 8. Complimentary shuttle to area activities no less than two mile radius of hotel 9. Easy access to onsite Hotel Representative during business hours Location Requirements: hotel must provide within walking distance (not to exceed 5 normal blocks) the following: 1. Variety of restaurants 2. Entertainment (i.e. jazz club/movie theater/historical landmarks) 3. No more than 20 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being reque4sted and a written solicitation will not be issued.
