Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, 508 Fulton Street. Durham, North Carolina, has an urgent requirement for on-site INTRAOPERATIVE NEUROPHYSIOLOGY MONITORING (IOM) Services to include a technician and equipment to complement the neurosurgical team. The neurophysiology technician performs testing and monitoring of the nervous system during brain and spinal tumor resections surgery to assist the surgeons in avoiding or reducing complications such as paralysis, hearing loss, or stroke (depending on type of surgery) by detecting incipient injury in time to prevent or ameliorate it. Technician must provide the equipment necessary to conduct such monitoring. It is essential that the technician be familiar with Duke University equipment and personnel so as to provide timely and accurate service without the need for additional training on local equipment and processes. The applicable NAICS Code is 621111 with a size standard of $9 Million. Contract period will be one year from date of award. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Responses to this notice should include the following: name and address of company/provider; business size; socio-economic category, if any; if services are on a Federal Supply Schedule; firm?s experience in providing and capability of expeditiously providing IOM Services and any other pertinent information which demonstrates firm?s ability to meet the above requirement. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
