Description

The U.S. Secret Service intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Knight Armament Company, 701 Columbus Blvd, Titusville, Florida 32780 for the following supplies: (12 EA) 7.62 mm Brass Jag P/N 21300; (8 EA) 7.62 mm Mk11 Mod O Match Rifle P/N 21035; (8 EA) Matched Barrels & Bolt P/N 95230; (40 EA) 20 Round SR-25 Magazine P/N 98036; (8 EA) SR-25 Front Sling Swivel P/N 94058; (8 EA) Dewey 35.5 Special Coted Rod P/N 21278; (8 EA) Dewey 7.62 Bore Brush Adapter P/N 21301; (8) Bore Rod Guide for Dewey Rod P?N 21281; (8 EA) 7.62 MK Navy Field Cleaning Kit P/N 24385; (4 EA) SR-16 URX Stoner Carbide Rifle P/N 98510; (490 EA) SR-16 30-Round 5.56 Magazine P?N 21248; (8 EA) BiPod Adapter (SR-25) P/N 98060. Due to the level of need, award of a purchase order will be made on March 28, 2006. Delivery is required expeditiously on the SR-16 Magazines P/N 21248. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302; Circumstances permitting other than full and open competition. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No formal solicitation package is available. Any inquires must include a full capability statement and must be received not later than three (3) days after publication of this synopsis. Any inquiries must identify the vendor?s ability to meet the delivery schedule as stated herein. The Government will not be responsible for any costs in preparation of responses to this announcement.
