- The Gifford Pinchot National Forest is soliciting prospective contractors for grounds maintenance services on the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District (CVRD) Randle, Washington. There are there (3) sites, the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District Office located at milepost 116 on Highway 12, the Cowlitz Valley District compound located on Silverbrook Rd. and the Packwood Ranger District Office located 15 miles East of the CVRD office on Highway 12. Work to be performed includes: mowing, raking, and fertilizing of lawns; edging and trimming; cultivation and mulching of flowerbeds; tree and shrub pruning; trash and debris pickup and removal; curb, walkway and sidewalk maintenance; fence maintenance. The Government intends to issue a one year contract for these services with an option for a second year of performance. The performance period is May 1 through November 11, 2006 for the base year and May 1 through November 11, 2007 for the option year. The estimated issue date for the solicitation is on or about April 6, 2006. One contract will be issued to the offeror presenting the best value to the Forest Service based upon; price; experience; and past performance. Prospective contractors and subcontractors are requested to self-register below to receive notification of any postings concerning this project. The solicitation, and any amendments, will be made available at this internet site. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Forest Service.
