- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Division intends to acquire preventive and service maintenance on Nucletron?s Oldelft Simulix Radiology simulator located at the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) Bethesda, MD on a sole source basis to Nucletron Corporation. The maintenance shall include on-site remedial repairs conducted during normal work hours, 24-hour emergency service, and regularly scheduled preventive maintenance service. Maintenance also includes systems, subsystem components and assemblies that were apart of the original system purchased as well as all software, hardware, and firmware. Replacement parts must be readily available to prevent any downtime of this equipment. This simulator is owned by the Navy and will not be replaced. The requirement is being processed in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. The requirement is for one base period beginning date of award through 30 September 2006 and four twelve-month option periods. A firm fixed price contract is estimated to be issued on or about 1 April 2006. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than close of business 4:00PM, Eastern Standard Time, March 27, 2006. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
