- The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for repairing storm damaged roads at the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in Folkston, GA. Work under this invitation consists of providing all labor, equipment and supplies to shape, grade and dress various roads and ditches; transport, place, install, backfill and compact several culverts of various sizes and locations; transport, tailgate spread and finish grade Graded Aggregate Base Course (GABC) material on various roads and bridges. Work is to be accomplished in accordance with the specifications. This is not a small business set-aside in accordance with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 237310. The size standard is $28.5 million. The estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The tentative IFB issue date is on or about 04/10/06, with a 30 day closing. A firm-fixed price contract will be issued. The IFB documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at HTTP://FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under IFB Number 401816B020. Paper copies WILL NOT be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments. Prospective bidders must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) HTTP://WWW.CCR.GOV and complete the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://www.bpn.gov in order to be eligible for award.
