Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. It is the Government's intent to negotiate on a sole source basis with The Conference Board, Inc, 845 3rd Ave Fl 2, New York, New Yo rk, 10022-6679 for the following: conduct preparatory planning and coordination session(s) with representatives of the Office of the Chief of Staff, the Leader-to-Leader Institute, and the United States Military Academy (the goal of these planning and coor dination sessions is to tailor the content and conduct of the conference sessions to the particular ranks, skill sets, and organizations of the attendees); lead efforts in arranging guest speakers and facilitators and attendees from the profit and non-prof it sector; and conduct a pre-conference survey to determine participant expectations. Additional responsibilities include marketing and programming. There is also a requirement to maintain an active membership with approximately 1,000 of the Nations lar gest businesses. The Senior Corporate C members that attend the 2006 Investment in America Conference must be taken from this association. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Any interested party should submit a statement of capabilities along with a price quotation to determine if the requirements of this synopsis can be met, no later than 10 days from the date of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contracts based on responses from this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received shall be considered.
