- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mt. Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC), Mt. Weather (Bluemont), VA intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with Motorola, Columbia, MD for the purchase of Land Mobile Radio Equipment (LMR) System peripheral open market items to complement the GSA Schedule contract items that are being purchased from Motorola under their GSA Schedule Contract No. GS35F0004L. The purchase of this equipment will assist in providing command, control, communications and operations for the Federal, State, and local Governments in order for them to work effectively together and with compatible equipment in order to prepare for, respond to, and recover from domestic incidents, regardless of cause, size, or complexity. W7y, P/N G95, QTY 5 EA; Under the ASTRO Digital VHF XTS 5000 Model III Portable Series: Enh: Multi-Cast Vote Scan, P/N Q387, QTY 13 EA; Under the KVL3000 Plus Keyloader: 1200 MAH HICAP Battery, P/N NTN7395BR, QTY 10 EA and 120V Rapid Dual Unit Charger, P/N NTN1402, QTY 5 EA; Under Parts & Accessories: Dash to Remote Mounting Kit, P/N H1804A, QTY 55 EA and Programming/Flash Cable, As Plus, P/N HKN6155A, QTY 15 EA and Programming Cable, USB, XTS2500, P/N RKN4105A, QTY 10 EA and Detailed Service XTL-5000 Manual, P/N 99850586F01, QTY 5 EA and Hdset Heavy Duty Noise CXL Mic, P/N BDN6645A, QTY 4 EA and Hdset Cable to XTS Radio, P/N BDN6673, QTY 9 EA and Noise Cancelling Remote Spkr Mic, P/N NMN6191C, QTY 50 EA and Batt 1800 MAH FM Rugg NIMH, P/N NNTN4437B, QTY 100 EA. Interested parties may respond by identifying their capability to provide the required peripheral items to include descriptive literature and pricing. Responses shall be sent via email to Sandra.nixon@dhs.gov and must be received no later than 10:00 AM/EST on April 3, 2006. This is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by the date identified above will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is not a small business set-aside requirement.
