Description

THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE SYNOPSISThe 45th Contracting Squadron has a sole source requirement for an ABI 3900 Highthroughout DNA Synthesizer, cat. #4318174 ? 1 each with a 3 year Bioassurance contract (1 year warranty + 2 year extended) to include all shipping costs. This is a Sole Source with Applied Biosystems IAW FAR 6.302-1. Applied Biosystems is the only source capable of fulfilling the government?s requirement. This equipment is to be used in conjunction with existing equipment and will be used to expand the output of the program and provide back-up in the supply of reagents if one should stop working. The ABI 3900 will be able to utilize currently optimized chemistries from other machines, procedures and methods. No solicitation documents exists at this time. This item/service utilizes Standard Industrial Code (SIC) 3826 with a business size of 500 employees and North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 334516. Interested firms may identify their capability to respond to this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider any responses from capable sources received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. 45 CONS/LGCB has determined that Applied Biosystems is the only source capable of providing this requirement.
