Description

Description: The U.S Geological Survey Biological Resource Division, Great Lakes Science Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan has a requirement for a non-competitive award via written request for Quotation No. 06ER23-No Solicitation to Northstar Technical Inc., 1 Duffy Place, St. John's, NL, Canada for a Netmind trawl mensuration system. USGS requires such a system to accurately measure trawl geometry during fishing exercises and to provide data for analysis of trawl performance. The system must maintain continuity of long term data sets regardless of changes in vessels and trawls. Northstar Technical is the only company making trawl mensuration gear compatible with existing USGS gear, while at the same time, providing a North American service and support center. This allows for rapid repairs to any malfunctions so that surveys may be completed in a timely manner without compromising the integrity of the data collected. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The anticipated award date is March 28, 2006, under the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.00.
