Description

CONTACT Norman Karp, Production Engineer, (732) 532-3723. This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for the Modification Kit, MK-2899/ARC-186, NSN: 5895-01-454-2029. The current source for this kit is Rockwell Collins Inc. Division Governm ent Systems (Rockwell), 400 Collins Rd NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52498-0001, Cage Code 13499, and Part Number 955-1402-001. The MK-2899 Modification Kit supplies the components necessary to convert the RT-1354/ARC-186 (V) panel-mounted radio to a remote data bu s RT-1300B/ARC-186 radio to be used in the AH-64D Longbow Helicopter, CH-47F Improved Cargo Helicopter, and UH-60M Black Hawk Helicopter. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of this kit is not available from the Army. Suppliers capab le of furnishing this unit so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AC, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a ve ndor to the listed source of a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the unit from the previous supplier. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
