- The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute intend to negotiate on a noncompetitive basis with Applied BioSystems, 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City CA., 94404, for the purchase reagents on a standing order basis for the period of one (1) year. It is anticipated that the following items will be purchased during the period of performance are: (1) Product # 4337457, Big Dye Terminator Reaction, quantity one (1); (2) Product # 4316813, Bulkpack 96 Well RXN Plates, quantity one (1) each; (3) Product # 4316355, Pop4, quantity fourteen (14) each; (4) Product # 4316357, Pop6,quantity fourteen (14) each; (5) Product # 4315931, Array 36cm, quantity four (4) each; (6) Product # 4315930, Array 50cm, quantity four (4) each; (7) Product # 402824, Buffer 10x, quantity thirty five (35) each. The reagents are required to be used with the Applied BioSystem DNA Sequencer Instruments, model number 3100 Genetic Analyzer Sequencer serial number 1352-014. To use any other reagent with this instrument could cause damage to the equipment and the on going experiment. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the Size Standard is 500 employees for this requirement. This is not a small business set-aside. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures, and exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. When submitting your response please include the following: business size, itemized price, including shipping cost if applicable, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), Taxpayer Identification Number (TNN), and Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs). The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurement. Responses to this announcement, referencing synopsis number NHLBI-PB-2006-141/DDC must be submitted in writing to National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, Consolidated Operations Acquisition Center, Procurement Branch, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Suite 6042, Bethesda, MD 20892-7902, Attention: Deborah Coulter. Fax quotations will only be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency.
