Description
SUBJECT: EFM T3-EVC 300 WITH TRIPLE EFM 3 CELL EVAPORATOR, EVC 300 DIGITAL POWER SUPPLY FOR EFM AND CABLE FOR EFM. DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy???s National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to OMICRON NanoTechnology USA, McMurray, PA for the purchase for the purchase of a EFM T3-EVC 300 WITH TRIPLE EFM 3 CELL EVAPORATOR, EVC 300 DIGITAL POWER SUPPLY AND CABLE FOR EFM. The following technical requirements are required: The following technical requirements are needed: The system consists of a 3-cell evaporator package with one power supply for sub-monolayer and multi-layer thin film growth, with shutter and independent flux monitor within each cell, for consecutive deposition into an evaporation area of 8.5, 11 or 15 mm diameter. consisting of: A 3-cell evaporator for sub-monolayer and multi-layer thin film growth, for simultaneous or consecutive deposition into an evaporation area of 8.5, 11 or 15 mm diameter. Each evaporation pocket is totally independent of the other two, with a separate filament, HV feedthrough, and flux monitor. The evaporator includes an integrated cooling shroud and a shutter. Up to 3 power supplies are required for simultaneous evaporation. Mounted on a NW 35 CF (2??" OD) flange, flange to sample distance fixed to 254 mm (10"), working distance ~95 mm. Must Includes an accessory kit with 1 Molybdenum crucible, 10 cm filament wire, 1 spare slide bearing ceramics and 2 aperture blocks. A digital power supply the evaporator unit. Digital power supply needs to be microprocessor controlled, including flux display and AUTOFLUX regulator, deposition timer, shutter controller, history buffer, and digital interface to PC via RS-232. Maximum power output 300 W. Must Included software for remote control of up to 3 EVC 300's for automated multi-layer growth and controlled co-evaporation Any and all cables necessary to run the evaporator system. Cable length needs to be at least 4-5 m in long. This purchase order is being issued to OMICRON because this is a replacement for an existing OMICRON unit in our laboratory. It is the only equipment compatible with the exhisting OMICRON Instrumentation currently in use. . All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by this agency. All interested firms must respond to DE-RQ26-06NT00279. Offerors shall provide sufficient technical literature, documents, etc., in order for the Government evaluation team to make an adequate technical assessment of the quote as meeting technical acceptability. Therefore, no solicitation will result with this announcement. This award shall be made using FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification (NAIC) is 334516.
