- This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 6TS-06-JMB-0001 is being issued as a request for quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-14. This brand name procurement is for IT Professional Services on a Network Appliance F840C, including: ? Data Migration between volumes o Restriping of volumes for maximum utilization of drive space o Resizing of volumes to reclaim unused space ? Data Migration activities will be based on selected engineer?s recommendation. ? Assist with the re-permissioning of files and other stored resources on the Network Appliance for the purpose of being accessible in a new domain. Re-permissioning will be conducted utilizing Quest Domain Migration software. ? Rename the Network Appliance device ? Unjoin Network Appliance from existing NT 4.0 domain ? Join Network Appliance to new Windows 2000 domain ? Re-ACL files and directories on the NetApp device using Quest Domain Migration Wizard software ? Modify Network Appliance DNS settings to register with Windows 2000 Active Directory DNS servers ? Ensure Network Appliance resources are published in Windows 2000 Active Directory Domain with equivalent permissions in new domain as in previous NT 4.0 domain. The system configuration is included in the attached statement of work. The period of performance is to occur in March 2006. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The decision to award will be based on the following requirements: ? Minimum of Network Appliance Certified Professional NACP Certification with experience on the Network Appliance F840 model ? Experience with CIFS, Data ONTAP and migration of NetApp to a new domain, running 3rd party tools to re-permission resources. The above qualifications will need to be demonstrated by copies of certifications and references and past performance history. An award will be made based on the lowest price, technically acceptable bid. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items, with its offer. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR Clause 52.204-9, Personal Identity Verification of Contractor Personnel applies to this acquisition. Submitted quotes should include a technical proposal and a cost proposal. The cost proposal should be broken out to reflect, but is not limited to, labor categories, rates and travel. Offers are due by close of business 24 March 2006 and can be submitted via e-mail at jamila.buchanan@gsa.gov Price lists should be submitted with the proposals.
