Description

THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound (FISCPS) has a requirement for Materials Handling Equipment Rental Services. This requirement is for a fleet consisting of twenty-three Forklifts (capacities: 3K, 4K, 6K, 9k, 15k, and 20k); one Pallet Truck (capacity: 4K); three Reach & Tiers (capacities: 3K and 4K); two 4-directional Reach & Tiers (capacity: 4.5K); three Sideloaders (capacities: 3K and 6K); and two Walkie Reaches (capacity: 3K). All material handling equipment must meet fuel type requirements of electric, propane, duel fuel, or diesel per specifications and must contain rear brake lights. Equipment proposed must be less than three years old with less than 3,000 hours on the unit hour meter. The contractor shall provide required maintenance to ensure a fully adequate, efficient, and serviceable fleet of MHE. Contractor must repair downed equipment within 24 hours. Contractor must obtain required badges for access to Controlled Industrial Areas. Delivery is required on July 03, 2006 FOB destination to Bremerton, WA. This will be a firm fix price type contract for one base year with four option years. FISC Puget Sound is contemplating multiple award(s) resulting from this solicitation of no more than two contractors. It is not the Government?s intent to expand the scope of this contract in the future. This solicitation will be issued on or about April 17, 2006 using commercial simplified acquisitions per FAR part 12 and 13.5. When issued the RFQ will be posted on the NECO website www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. Only vendors registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) will be considered for contract award. No bidder?s list will be maintained by this office. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote non-responsive and result in the rejection of the same.
