DESC: 1240-01-513-9959, Part Number MIL-PRF-32062, The item to procure is a CASE, CARRYING FOR THE M198 FIRE CONTROL OPTICS. DESIGN, MATERIALS, AND MANUFACTURING PROCESS IS THE PREROGATIVE OF THE CONTRACTOR AS LONG AS ALL ARTICLES SUBMITTED TO THE GO VERNMENT MEET THE FUNCTIONAL AND OPERATING REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED IN MIL-PRF-32062. FOR MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM DIMENSIONS OF CASE REFER TO TDP WHICH WILL BE POSTED WITH THE SOLICITATION. CUSHION INSERTS ARE MANUFACTURED FROM A-A-59136. Requirements are for 5 year IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity) contract with a guaranteed minimum contract quantity of 245 each and maximum contract quantity of 4,200 each Case, Optical. FOB is Destination. For use on the M198 Howitzer. Estimated issue date is 07 A pril 2006. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
