Description
166 each extra heavy duty locker type metal storage racks with intermediate and metal end panels and lockable doors. Extra heavy duty metal Storage Racks: Based on add-on metal storage racks unit, 30 inches wide by 30 inches deep (internal clear space of 26 inches) by 96 inches high, with 3 intermediate, bolted in place, removable shelves. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS A. Seismic Performance: Provide metal storage racks with lockable doors capable of withstanding the effects of earthquake motions due to horizontal peak acceleration equal to 0.62 g and vertical peak acceleration equal to 0.58 g. Lockable doors must remain latched and contain contents during/after a seismic event. B. Units shall be able to be anchored at both top and bottom. Anchorage points shall be approximately 1? from the edge of the rack. The racks must have the capability to be either bolted or welded to the supporting structures. The vendor shall identify the anchorage reactions at each anchor location. C. Rack anchoring elements cannot extend past the outer surface of the end units more than 2? nor shall adjacent rack anchors be located closer than 2? of the adjacent racks D. Storage Area: Each storage area shall be completely enclosed, having two fully opening lockable doors, permanent shelf at the bottom, plus three removable full-sized shelves that can be placed at the mid-height of each door and mid-height of storage unit (creating four individual storage locations). Except for the shelves the interior of each storage area shall be completely unobstructed. E. All parts shall be made of mild cold rolled sheet steel, free from imperfections and capable of taking a powder coat finish. F. Powder-Coat Finish: Prepare, treat, and coat nongalvanized ferrous metal to comply with resin manufacturer's written instructions and as follows: 1. Prepare uncoated ferrous-metal surfaces to comply with SSPC-SP 6, "Commercial Blast Cleaning." 2. Treat prepared metal with iron-phosphate pretreatment, rinse, and seal surfaces. 3. Apply thermosetting polyester or acrylic urethane powder coating with cured-film thickness not less than 1.5 mils. G. Color: As selected by CONTRACTOR from manufacturer's full range. QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS Successful supplier will be required to have an established Quality Assurance Program which is in compliance with the requirements of 10CFR830.120.
