- Notice to award a sole source contract. The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has a requirement for continued logistics support for the AN/PRC 148 (C) Multiband Inter/Intra Team Radio (MBITR) hand-held radio, to include: replacement radios, ancillary equipment, training, and up to 500 new MBITRs. In accordance with the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, (10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1)) (Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency?s Needs), this requirement will be negotiated with Thales Communications Incorporated, 22605 Gateway Center Drive, Clarksburg, MD 20871, Current contractual support for the MBITR equipment will lapse within the next three months. USSOCOM envisions an Indefinite Delivery/IndefiniteQuantity type contractual instrument with a period of performance not to exceed one year and $10M. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. This notice is not a request for proposal and may constitute the only official notice of this action. See numbered note 22
