Description
The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) intends to award a sole source purchase order to DesktopStandard Corporation, 125 Brewery Lane, Bldg. 320, Portsmouth, NH 03801 for the PolicyMaker ApplicationSecurity for the purposes of providing the user with the least privileges needed to perform their jobs. OTS was faced with the problem of how to enforce the least-privilege security model. ApplicationSecurity uses Microsoft Group Policy (GP) to provide the user with the least privileges needed to perform their jobs. DesktopStandard was found to have the most complete suite of GP tools available to meet OTS? desktop standardization, configuration management of GP changes and GP based software updates. General GP training specific to DesktopStandard standard products is also an integral part of this consolidated approach to least privilege. The period of performance is April 10, 2006 through August 31, 2006. The OTS intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all quotations received with pricing and sufficient technical documentation to establish a bonafide capacity to meet the requirement received by 2:00PM EST, March 16, 2006 will be considered by the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document is available. Such information, if submitted, should be emailed Sharon.Doerk@ots.treas.gov. QUESTIONS MUST ALSO BE SUBMITTED VIA EMAIL. TELEPHONIC QUESTIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. If this procurement is competed, no additional synopsis will be published and a request for quotation will only be forwarded to the intended vendor and firms that respond to this synopsis of intent
