- Description
- The Walla Walla District intends to award a Sole Source Procurment in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1) to The Nez Perce Tribe. Under the Terms of Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), federal agencies are to ensure that historic properties are identified, evaluated and nominated to the National Register. During the late-1990's, the nez Perce Tribe complete d a sample testing program (Nez Perce tests) on Dworshak project lands. Field investigations and status reports were completed but the final comprehensive report of findings was never finished. The final report is needed to establish the definitive recor d of tested cultural resources in the Dworshak Reservoir. The Nez Perce Tribe currently curates all the original field notes, field survey maps, photographs, recovered arifacts, and original records that were generated during the field investigaitons.
