- Amendment 07 Questions and Answers: Q1. Due to the restrictive of Multimode equipment and interfaces, at the market and with the aim to guarantee the quality of the services and to avoid to make conversions from Monomode to Multimode that sometimes generate point of flaw. It is possible that the vendor provide and install 12 pair Monomode fiber optic, instead of multimode? A1. Yes, as long as the vendor is aware that they will be responsible for providing any and all necessary equipment necessary to provide the required services to the Embassy. Q2. Will the government support the HUB Zone rebate? A2. No, this is an unrestricted requirement and local firms will be participating. Q3. Will the government consider extending the base contract term to at least 2 years? Given the significantly broad extent of work and relatively remote geography, a 1-year base contract represents large risk to industry. The government would attract the maximum number of bidders by reducing risk in offering at least a 2-year guarantee of business (base contract term), of course assuming excellent vendor performance. A3. The contract period is a base year of 12 months with four one year options.
