- This is a sources sought Synopsis. The Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center (NFESC) is seeking information on commercially available devices for Sabatier reduction of carbon dioxide (and carbon monoxide, if available) to methane or methanol. The device may use hydrogen or other reagents and catalysts. The supplier should describe how their product works, as well as working temperature, hydrogen or other reagents supplied, catalysts and time needed for reduction of the oxides to methane or methanol. The NFESC is not interested in research and development. The complete Sabatier reactor should be currently commercially available. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not a request for quotation, proposal or an invitation for bid. There is no solicitation available and no contract will be awarded on the basis of responses hereto, or any follow-on information requested. This notice is a market research tool being utilized to determine the types of commercially available equipment. The government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice. All available manufacturer?s information; brochures, sales and marketing literature, scientific or engineering reprints, test and/or submittal data, drawings and specifications is requested to be forwarded to NAVFAC Southwest, Specialty Center Contracts Core RAQN0, Attn: Olivia Soto, 1205 Mill Road Bldg. 850, Port Hueneme, CA 93043-4347. The information is requested to be furnished by April 14, 2006.
