- Description
- The Naval Medical Logistics Command has a requirement for medical laboratory technician services at Naval Hospital Great Lakes, IL. This will be a sole source bridge to contract N62645-05-C-4134 to extend services to the firm-fixed priced, personal services contract. Award will be made to Cherokee Medical Services on a firm-fixed price contract. Services are required for the period 12 May 2006 through 30 September 2006. This is the required amount of time for competitive solicitation N62645-05-R-0009 to be awarded. Cherokee Medical Services is the only contractor known that can provide the four-month and two-week contract with health care workers who have been privileged to work at the naval hospital mentioned above. The lead-time required for an alternate contractor to recruit and hire a replacement staff, submit Individual Professional Files for each health care worker, and for the sites to complete necessary procedures does not exist prior to 30 September 2006.
