- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, is soliciting offers for commercial services to remove and dispose of all contents of the after peak tank on the Dredge McFarland while the vessel is moored at Fort Mifflin in Philadelphia, Pen nsylvania during the 10-23 March 2006 lay period. The contractor shall furnish all labor, material and services, including hoses (100 feet minimum) and fittings, required to remove and dispose of the material contained in the after peak tank, utilizing a contractor-provided portable pump. The material in the after peak tank is lubricating oil, fuel oil, hydraulic fluid, brackish (river/sea) water, oily water, emulsified oil, slop oil, and sludge mixed together. The after peak tank has a 33,000 gallon cap acity. It is estimated that there will be 15,000-20,000 gallons of material in the after peak tank. Of this amount, it is estimated that half is water. The contents of the material in the after peak tank shall be disposed of by the contractor in complia nce with all current Environmental Protection Agency rules and regulations. RFQ No. W912BU-06-T-0036 will be available on or about 8 March 2006. Solicitation documents, plans, and specifications will only be available via the Federal Technical Data Solut ion (FedTeDs) system webpage at https://www.fedteds.gov. Interested parties must register as a Vendor with FedTeDs before accessing the system. In order to register as a Vendor in FedTeDs, offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registratio n (CCR) system (http://www.ccr.gov). Interested offerors can access the data for this solicitation through the hyperlink established in the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) announcement, which will redirect to the solicitation-specific data in FedTeDs. Registration for updates to plans and specifications should be made on the FedBizOpps webpage for this solicitation. The FedTeDs system does not allow for offerors to perform a search for solicitation data. Al l searches can be performed through the FedBizOpps system. Offers will be due on 10 March 2006 at 3:15 p.m. ET and can be faxed to 215-656-6798, ATTN: Linda M. Dobbs. The acquisition will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Commercial Services. Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Hard copies will not be available. This procurement is Unrestricted. The NAICS Code is 562910 with a size standard of $13 million. No other notification to firms for this project w ill be made. All contractors must be registered in the DODs Central Contract Register (CCR) before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
