Description
NOTICE: This solicitation is open to all firms authorized to perform in Japan, the type of construction work specified in this solicitation. Specifically, a prospective offeror must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and mu st fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance of the resulting contracts. In addition, prior to award of the contracts, offerors must be registered with the Government of Japan to do construction work in Japan and possess necessary construction licenses and permits to perform work required under this solicitation. PROJECT INFORMATION: This procurement consists of one solicitation with the intent to award up to three Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOCs) for Design-Bid-Build (D-B-B) construction and Design-Build (D-B) construction to support U.S. Government facilities in Okinawa, Japan. Each contract will consist of a one-year base period and two one-year option periods. The total maximum amount the Government will order under all three contracts combined is 1, 150,000,000 Japanese Yen per period. The types of work to be accomplished may include, but are not limited to site preparation, utility work, pavements, HVAC, refrigeration, building renovation, vertical construction, port improvements, painting, electrical distribution, lighting, telephone s ystems, fire suppression, fuel systems, security system, asbestos and lead based paint abatement. The solicitation will be issued on or about March 22, 2006.
