- Provide engineering services support for Boeing commercial derivative CLS aircraft for the period of 01 Oct 06 through 30 Sep 16. Contractors shall refer to the actual solicitation for the exact closing date. The following dates are approximate: The issuance date of solicitation will be 10 Apr 06. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 10 May 06. The anticipated award date will be 01 Oct 06. Other information: Contractors must obtain a copy of the solicitation from the FedBizOpps website. This office no longer mails solicitations. No telephone requests. POC is loretta.williams@tinker.af.mil, fax number 405-736-4155. the proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only The Boeing Company under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), justification and supplies (or services) required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. See note 22, 26. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offferors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at 405-736-3273.
