- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with Van Cleve and Associates, Alexandria, VA, under Request for Quote (RFQ) E002247. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration=s Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Van Cleve and Associates, the Washington DC Representative, for Clarifying and Tieline Technologies, is to provide the following items: 1) (8) Each of CS500 Tieline Pursuit Codec; 2) (8) Each of CS400 Tieline Intelli-Mix. Based on extensive testing and market research conducted with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry, only one responsible source can provide the requested stereo (two channel) system. Tieline and Clarifying Technologies via Van Cleve and Associates, is the only know source who can provide the products that meet the requirements of the FBI. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 2:00 PM, EST, Monday, March 20, 2006, via facsimile to the attention of Ms. Renee L. Braun, Contracting Officer, at (703) 632-8144. E-mail quotes will also be accepted at rbraun@fbiacademy.edu. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System number is 334416, the size standard is 500 employees. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13. All contractors anticipating award, must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database.
