Description
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has a requirement to purchase an E-Centron Environmental Monitor and Alarm (E-Centron is Licensed for up to 16 Inputs, includes Centron Software and Allows an Unlimited Number of Users to Access the System from any off the shelf browser. The system also includes Windows 2000 Professional, Internal CDRW and Autobackup Software, 4 Hour Battery Back-up, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse and Printer); 16 Additional Inputs on an E-Centron System; 900 MHz Frequency Hopping Transceiver; Wireless 418 MHz Repeater; Battery Backup; Voice Messages for Centron or Seer (Voice Tags-1 and Voice Tage-2); Wireless Temperature Probe ? Type 4-80 to 10 Degrees C; Wireless Temperature Probe ? Type 3-50 to +10 Degrees C; Wireless Temperature Probe ? Type 2-15 to +60 Degrees C; Windows Software Map; Validation Kit for Centron; Remote Audible Visual Alarm. To the best of the Government?s knowledge Reese Scientific is the only company that can offer this E-Centron Environmental Monitor and Alarm that we require. Interested vendors may identify in writing their interest with a capability statement to the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responses received, before the closing date, of this announcement will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition is based upon responses to this notice and is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is anticipated that the Request for Quotation (RFQ) NIH-NIDDK-06-768 will be available fifteen (15) days after the release of the RFQ. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is April 8, 2006. Request for copies of the RFQ must be in writing to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, 6707 Democracy Boulevard, Two Democracy Plaza, Room 774B, Bethesda, MD 20817 Attention: V.
