Description

NOTICE OF INTENT: The National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NOAA/NESDIS) intends to extend an existing contract with User Technology Associates/BAE Systems Co. for approximately 14 staff per year, effective May 1, 2006 through April 30, 2007, for a period of 12 months. The basis for this extension is due to significant resource limitations at the NPOESS Integrated Program Office (IPO) from November 2004 to the present time. However, the follow-on effort will be competed after this bridge effort and such notification will be posted in Federal Business Opportunities. The purpose of this contract is to provide support for the GOES-R program with skilled support for contract management, planning, and implementation at a level up to and including major systems contracts, and professional support services contracts. The NPOESS IPO provides the spacecraft, launch services, and ground systems necessary to maintain the uninterrupted flow of remotely-sensed environmental data required to protect life, property and the environment, and to promote economic well being. Interested parties must respond in writing to Paula Frickey within 15 calendar days of the posted date of this Notice of Intent. TEXT OF MODIFICATION 2: In accordance with FAR 5.203(a) this Modification No. 2 to this Notice of Intent is to revise the response time from 45 calendar days to 15 calendar days. The response due date is hereby changed from April 17, 2006 to March 18, 2006.
