Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia seeks sources and information for a 0.75-ton (9,000 BTU cooling capacity), electrically powered air conditioner capable of being horizontally bracket mounted, or a split system (external section mounted on front edge of shelter) over the cab of a tactical vehicle. The unit shall provide complete environmental air conditioning, to include: cooling, heating, ventilation, dehumidification, and filtering. This item is sought as a possible replacement for the current Shelter Mounted Air Conditioner, Marine Corps Standard (MCS), Horizontal, 60 Hz, 9000 BTU, TAMCN B0001, which is 15-20 years old. The product should be capable of continuous or intermittent operation in conditions of environmental extreme and rough terrain in all configurations. A Single (1) phase, 120 volt, power requirement is desired to accommodate standard military field power. Dual Voltage 120 VAC / 24 VDC is desirable. All Marine Corps ECUs will operate in extremely remote field environments, and a desirable product characteristic includes a self-contained, ruggedized unit that has the ability to allow for military transport without crating. A weight of less than185 lbs is desired, and should not exceed maximum dimensions of 26.8 inches long by 16.1 inches high by 23.8 inches wide. Commercial firms possessing the characteristics noted in the above system description are encouraged and invited to submit the following: Product brochures and pricing materials outlining specifications to include a statement of capabilities, and current General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule contract information regarding unit pricing of the air conditioner(s) and discounts. GSA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) may be an appropriate method for these supplies and services (Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 8.0 and 8.4). If not on the GSA Schedule, and you are associated with another manufacturer / distributor that is on the GSA Schedule, provide that information. In addition to the above, a nd whether on the GSA Schedule or not, please provide the name, postal address, phone number and email address of your Point Of Contact (POC), to include any associated GSA Schedule manufacturers/ distributors. Responses will be reviewed to identify firms potentially capable of fulfilling the Governments requirements. This sources-sought/Request For Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request For Proposal (RFP), or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire follow-on acquisition. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission, of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so included, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted/ non-proprietary information.
