Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command is seeking potential Non-Developmental sources for a 0.75-ton (9,0000 BTU cooling capacity) Environmental Control Units (ECU) capable of providing complete environmental control to include: cooling, heating, ventilation, dehumidification, and filtering for various types of portable military shelters or vans. The product should be capable of continuous or intermittent operation in conditions of environmental extreme and rough terrain in all configurations. Power requirement are desired to accommodate standard military field power; dual voltage input of 120 VAC single phase / 24 VDC is desirable. Desirable product characteristics include a self-contained, ruggedized unit that has the ability to allow for military transport without crating. A Draft Performance Specification is provided. Firms possessing the characteristics noted in the above system description are invited to submit the following: Product brochures and literature, National Stock Numbers, past customer information, current Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information, pricing, contract information regarding unit pricing of the air conditioner(s) and discounts. GSA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) may be an appropriate method for these supplies and services. (Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 8.0 and 8.4). This sources-sought/Request For Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only, and shall not be construed as a Request For Proposal (RFP), or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire follow-on acquisition. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and Government use of such information. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be part of this effort. If so included, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the non-restricted / non-proprietary information.
