- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number, N00104-06-Q-Q-202, is issued as Request for Quote (RFQ). This procurement is being issued in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is set aside for small businesses. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg, has a requirement for the following new items: CLIN 0001: (1 Each) Sunfire V880 Server - 41200Mhz UltraSPARC II Cu processor with 8 MB cach, 16GB of Dram (32512MB DIMMS), 673GB 10Krpm FC-AL hard disks, DVDS-RO, P/N: A30-WUF4R16GRF to include: (1 each) SF VV0 4-Way UPG Sil, P/N: W9D-A30-4P-3S (1 each) Sun - Network adapter, PCI, Fibre Channel, P/N: SG-XPCI1FC-QF2 (1 each) Sun XVR 100, Graphics adapter, RADEON 7000, PCI, 32MB DDR, DVI, P/N: X3770A (1 each) Sun - Keyboard, USB (USB KYBD KIT WITH CABLES USB MOUSE TYPE 6) P/N: X3538A (1 each) Sun Color Monitor Entry - Display, CRT, 17", 1280 x 1024/76 Hz, 0.24 mm, VGA (HD-15), P/N: X7147A (3 each) Sun - Power Cable, power (M), Power, P/N: X320A (2 each) Sun StorEdge 2 GB PCI dual fibre channel - Expansion module, PCI-X-Fibre Channel - 2 ports, P/N: SG-XPC12FC-QF2 This system will be delivered to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA and be configured to support the Joint Engineering Data Management and Information Control System (JEDMICS). The contractor shall offer the Government the same warranty terms offered to the general public. These warranty terms must be included in the system price. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provision of 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commerical Items, applies to this acquisition. The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to that responsible offeror proposing the lowest price for the items required. Any resultant contract will be DO rated under the Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS). All responding vendors must be Sun Authorized Government Systems Providers. Only vendors that are in full compliance with this solicitation will be considered. Quotes are requested no later than close of business on 10 March 2006 and shall be submitted via email to tammi.reasner@navy.mil.
