- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure on an other than full and open competition basis the following items: 1) Solid Rhenium Nozzle, Qty 2). This requirement is sole sourced to Rhenium Alloys, Inc. 1329 Taylor Street, Elyria, OH 44036-0245 as the only vendor to produce Rhenium nozzles with a 99.99% purity. This level of purity is required because the propellants used are highly oxidatuve. Any firms believing that they can provide the Rhenium nozzles with a purity of 99.99% may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm?s ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the Rhenium nozzles with a purity of 99.99% without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
