- Description
- The work consists of dredging approximately 3,500,000 cubic yards of maintenance material in Galveston Jetty and Entrance Channels, to be placed in offshore Placement Area, and Sea Turtle protection. Work will be done with a deep-draft hopper dredge. No levee work required. The estimated completion time is 210 calendar days (approximately 500,000 cubic yards of dredge material per month). Estimated solicitation issue date (plans & specs available) is on or about 3 April 2006. The estimated cost ra nge for this project is between $1 million and $5 million. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $18.5 million and will be advertised, UNRESTRICTED . P lans and specifications will not be available in paper format or on compact disc. For security reasons, all technical and engineering data related to this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Technical Data Solutions (FedTeDS) system.
