Description
POSTING: Project consists of several construction phases to perform interior building modifications to the Administration Wing Basement, First and Second Floors at the Fort Worth Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) located in 13800 FAA Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76155. PLEASE NOTE: ARCHIVE DATE DOES NOT REFLECT SOLICITATION DUE DATE. 1. New work will include new electrical, mechanical and interior architectural finishes. Upgrade of stairwell finishes, Installation of Government-Furnished Lockers, Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems. 2. Demolition includes removal of asbestos containing materials, architectural finishes, and non-load bearing walls to accommodate new building modification in the administrative and restroom areas. The project also includes demolition of main air handling units and existing lighting power configuration in the basement, locker room and the other main administrative areas. Asbestos - The asbestos portion, of the work, is considered, minor to the overall project. However, the abatement contractor will have to meet the following requirements for consideration: NOTE: The asbestos portion of the work is considered minor to the overall project. However, the abatement contractor will have to meet the following minimum requirements for consideration: 1. Licensed by the State of Texas. 2. Insurance Coverage - The abatement contractor shall have the following minimum insurance coverage: General Liability - $1 million per occurrence - Contractual Liability - $1 million per occurrence - Auto Liability - $1 million per occurrence for bodily injury and $50,000 per occurrence for property damage - Property Damage Liability - $1 million per occurrence - Worker's Compensation - $1 million per occurrence - Pollution Liability - $1 million per occurrence 3. Minimum of 5 years successful experience in asbestos removal. 4. Experience working in comparable occupied government facilities. FAA is placing increased emphasis on successful past performance on comparable projects, business practices, timeliness, quality, financial capacity, and compliance with labor statutes.
