Description
This notice is to announce that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Planning and Project Management Division ? Western Region (PPMD-WR) has requirement for a firm fixed price contract to repair the existing single lane, road to NOAA?s Mauna Loa Observatory (MLO). The base contract will be for 3 miles of the existing highway and will include optional line items for three additional miles in half mile increments each. The project site is located on the island of Hawaii and branches off from Saddle Road (State Highway 200) at the 28-mile marker. The successful bidder will be required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the roadway repair work. The roadway work includes, but is not limited to repaving the existing roadway (i.e., scarification, blending/mixing, compacting, applying asphalt prime coat, and repaving). The period of performance for the contract shall not exceed two hundred forty (240) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or about March 20, 2006. The estimated cost for the proposed contract including all options is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All responsive and responsible bids may be submitted. Once you receive the email notification, you must go to the FBO website to download the documents. Mandatory Clause: The Western Administrative Support Center, Acquisition Management Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this acquisition office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) before contract award. NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR. For additional information and to register in CCR please access the following web site: http:///www.ccr.gov/. In order to register with the CCR and to be eligible to receive an award from this acquisition office, all offerors must have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
